The powerhouse clash turned one-sided quickly as Loyola Academy took it to visiting St. Xavier during a special Jesuit Showdown on Sunday, Aug. 28, in Wilmette that was broadcast on ESPN.
In front of thousands of spectators and a national audience, senior quarterback Jake Stearney threw for four touchdowns, including two to fellow senior Spencer Leadbetter, and the Ramblers got two long touchdown runs: 56 yards from Drew MacPherson and 70 yards from Will Nimesheim.
