About The Record North Shore
What is The Record North Shore?
The Record North Shore is a nonprofit, independent and digital newsroom that relies on public financial support to produce responsible and community-first reporting. We currently serve Glencoe, Highland Park, Kenilworth, Northfield, Wilmette, Winnetka and more communities soon!
How do I contact you?
You can always reach us with general questions and news tips at newsroom@therecordns.org. Reach Editor in Chief Joe Coughlin at joe@therecordns.org and Director of Development Ryan Osborn at ryan@therecordns.org.
Do you accept op-eds or letters to the editor?
We do not. Community submissions often require rigorous fact-checking that we do not have the resources to accomplish. We do, however, encourage anyone to send messages and thoughts to our inboxes to provide us information and help guide our reporting.
Finances and Account Management
How does The Record North Shore make money?

We do encourage our readers to become a member to take full advantage of newsletters, events and more. A recurring membership is also the most sustainable way to keep local news coverage alive and vibrant in our communities. We also collect revenue from grant makers such as local and industry foundations and business sponsors.
How do I renew or cancel my membership?
Payments are recurring, so when your year is up, you will be automatically renewed. You can cancel at anytime or manage your membership by logging in to your Donorbox account. Having trouble? Email newsroom@therecordns.org.
