Police Reports: Funds stolen from dealership; Cars damaged at Carmax

These reports were pulled from the latest police summaries provided by departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Northfield, Kenilworth and Glencoe).

WILMETTE

Nov. 2

• An individual was arrested reportedly for spray-painting trains in the CTA Station at 349 Linden Avenue. A CTA employee reported three subjects vandalized train cars at 2:19 a.m. Reportedly, one of those individuals was apprehended by police.

Oct. 29

• The “Welcome to Loyola Academy” sign reportedly was damaged near the south entrance of the school’s parking lot, 1100 Laramie Ave.

Oct. 28

• A wallet reportedly was taken from a purse of an employee of Fresh Market, 3232 Lake Ave., who placed the purse near the store register.

WINNETKA

Oct. 27

• A bicycle reportedly was stolen from the 7-Eleven, 88 Green Bay Road, between 5 p.m. and 5:05 p.m. The reported loss is $400.

Oct. 26

• A secured bicycle reportedly was stolen from a bike rack at New Trier High School, 385 Winnetka Ave. The reported loss is $200.

GLENCOE

Nov. 2

• A bank account reportedly was opened in a resident’s name without the resident’s authorization.

Nov. 1

• A bank account reportedly was opened in a resident’s name without the resident’s authorization.

Oct. 30

• A wallet reportedly was stolen from an unattended purse in Starbucks, 347 Park Ave. The reported loss is $150 cash and various credit cards.

Oct. 29

• Four cars reportedly were damaged at Carmax, 2000 Frontage Road, at 11:43 a.m.

Oct. 24

• Two bank accounts reportedly were opened in a resident’s name without authorization.

NORTHFIELD

Oct. 26

• Employees at Fields BMW and Volvo reported that money has been stolen from the office for “the past few years.” The report is under investigation.

KENILWORTH

Nov. 1

• A radio scanner reportedly was purchased using a resident’s credit card without authorization.

• Graffiti was discovered on the Skokie Ditch wall in the rear alley of the 600 block of Green Bay Road. A week earlier graffiti was discovered in the rear alley in the 500 block of Green Bay Road.

Oct. 29

• An unsecured bicycle reportedly was stolen from the bike rack at Joseph Sears School, 542 Abbotsford Road. The reported loss is $100.
