Court the Cure is all in good funds
Hundreds hit the courts across Chicagoland on Thursday, Sept. 30, to play for more than just friendly competition.
The annual Court the Cure fundraiser is spearheaded by the Winnetka-based North Shore Women’s Platform Tennis League, a nonprofit that reportedly comprises thousands of local women.
This year, the event raised thousands of dollars to support Equal Hope, a Chicago-based nonprofit focusing on eliminating disparities in women’s healthcare.
About 20 park districts in the Chicago area participated, and at the Winnetka Platform Tennis Club, a special pro-am paired local paddle tennis pros with league players.
After a year off because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Court the Cure was the 24th version of the league’s event.
