Police Reports: Smashed car windows lead to stolen purses

The following reports were pulled from the latest police summaries provided by departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth and Glencoe).

WILMETTE

Dec. 14

• A purse reportedly was stolen from a car that had a rear window smashed in the 3000 block of Glenview Avenue.

• A purse and Air Pods reportedly were stolen from a car that had a window smashed out in the 3000 block of Glenview Avenue.

Dec. 13

• An individual was arrested for allegedly stealing from a Wilmette business in the 800 block of Green Bay Road.

• Three packages reportedly were stolen from a home in the 700 block of Linden Avenue.

Dec. 10

• An individual was charged with burglarizing a Wilmette business in February 2024.

WINNETKA

Dec. 9

• A pair of sunglasses reportedly were stolen between 3:13-3:15 p.m. from a car in the 900 block of Vernon Avenue.

• A package valued at $350 reportedly was stolen from a business in the 900 block of Green Bay Road.

GLENCOE

Dec. 5

• Two packages placed outside of a FedEx dropbox reportedly were stolen near 361 Park Ave.

HIGHLAND PARK

No incidents reported by press time.

NORTHFIELD

Dec. 10

• Two individuals reportedly were looking into a classroom window around 11:40 a.m. at Middlefork School, 405 Wagner Road.

KENILWORTH

No incidents reported by press time.
