Car crashes into Madame ZuZu’s, sending two to the hospital

Two people, including someone inside the restaurant, reportedly were injured when a car crashed into Madame ZuZu’s Teahouse in Highland Park late Wednesday morning.

The business is owned by the husband-wife team of Billy Corgan and Chloe Mendel Corgan, the latter of whom posted a message on social media that says her mother was injured in the incident.

A statement posted to Madame ZuZu’s social media pages.

The City of Highland Park posted on social media information about an emergency response to Madame ZuZu’s at 11:41 a.m. Oct. 30. According to the post, two individuals, including the driver of the car, were transported to the hospital as a result of the crash, which the city says was likely accidental.

It is unclear by press time the severity of the woman’s injury.
