According to a release from the caucus, the group was formed in 1954 to vet and slate School Board candidates for New Trier District 203. Forty-seven district residents make up the volunteer delegation.

Four seats on the board are expiring. Keith Dronen has served two terms and will roll off the board, while Sally Tomlinson, Kimberly Alcantara and Avik Das are finishing their first terms.

The caucus is accepting accplications for Wilmette D39 delegates by Aug. 25 through an online form.

Regina Dominican athletics earns national recognition

The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association has awarded Regina Dominican High School’s athletic program as the 2024 recipient of the NIAAA Quality Program Recognition at the Exemplary Level.

The recognition comes after the school’s athletic administration demonstrated excellence in implementing and administering an outstanding high school athletic program. This includes documentation of policies, practices, and procedures that align with the organization’s Quality Program assessment.

The school’s athletic director, Brian Mancuso, will receive a plaque, banner, and commendation letter at a recognition ceremony on Dec. 15, and will be featured in the NIAAA Interscholastic Athletic Administrator Journal, on the NIAAA Website, and in the E-Newsletter.
