New Trier 1, Warren 1

Lida Dodge’s second-half goal was the equalizer for the Trevs, who earned a season-opening draw Tuesday, March 15.

Loyola 6, Payton 0

Grace Ehlert and Kaitlyn Kurtz tallied two goals apiece in the Ramblers’ season-opening victory Monday, March 14.

Molly Sipe and Lauren Couri also scored for Loyola.

Regina Dominican 2, North Shore Country Day 0

Eve Nathaus scored a second-half goal for the Panthers in their victory Monday, March 14, in Wilmette.

BASEBALL
Loyola 10, Fremd 9

Gael Urbita smacked a two-run single to cap a four-run seventh inning and hand the Ramblers a walk-off win Wednesday, March 16, in Wilmette.

Roger Simon led Loyola with a home run, single and three walks.

SOFTBALL
Loyola 16, Zion-Benton 0

Mackenzie Barry socked a home run and totaled 7 RBI to lead the Ramblers to the nonconference win Wednesday, March 16.

Barry also struck out five through three innings to earn the victory on the mound.

GIRLS LACROSSE
Loyola 19, York 7

Maeve Dwyer scored four times and Adrienne Leone and Maeve Dooley added three apiece for the Ramblers on Monday, March 14.

Catherine Holcomb racked up 8 assists and a goal for Loyola.

BOYS WATER POLO
Palatine Tournament

New Trier outscored its opponents 68-11 en route to a 4-0 record at the season-opening invite Friday and Saturday, March 11-12.

The Trevians topped Loyola, 18-3, Homewood-Flossmoor, 15-2, St. Ignatius, 18-3 and St. Rita, 17-3, in the championship game.

Besides losing to New Trier, the Ramblers topped Mundelein, 14-5, and fell to Palatine, 9-7.

GIRLS WATER POLO
Naperville Central Tournament

Loyola Academy finished second after a 15-3 loss to host Naperville Central in the title game Saturday, March 12.

Previously in the tourney, the Ramblers beat Waubonsie Valley, 12-7, and Whitney Young, 13-8.
