Hometown Coffee partners with Dinx in Highland Park
Highland Park’s new pickeball club will have that Hometown feel.
Select products from popular North Shore coffeeshop Hometown Coffee and Juice will be available at Dinx Social Club, a recreation facility that will feature six pickleball courts, three golf simulator bays and more at 1931 Skokie Blvd. in Highland Park — the former home of a Staples location.
According to a press release, Hometown Grab & Go will offer custom beverages and select snacks and meals in Dinx, which is planning a 2025 opening and is currently selling memberships.
“We wanted to create a menu that feels authentically Hometown while catering to what we believe guests at DINX will love,” said Lou Rubin, co-founder of Hometown, in the release. “This partnership is an exciting addition to our brand, allowing us to reach customers in a whole new way.”

Hometown has four cafe locations: Glencoe (original), Winnetka, Lake Forest and Glenview (in development).
Hometown Coffee debuted in 2018 at 700 Vernon Ave. in Glencoe with a menu of coffees, hand-pressed juices, pastries, and breakfast and lunch plates. Finding quick success, the Rubins soon added an adjacent storefront to grow their space, and things took off from there.
Pandemic challenges unlocked Hometown’s ability to serve a growing on-the-go customer base. Hometown Grab & Go is an extension of that success, and the Rubins plan to install the concept within their current cafes, according to the release.
Additionally, Hometown’s location in Dinx will spotlight Hometown Catering, a division of the business the owners are expanding to “full-service off-site catering,” the release says.
“Catering has always been a core part of our brand, and we’re dedicated to taking it to the next level,” Lou Rubin said. “Right now, we’re focused on making it easier for people to bring Hometown to their homes with our catering trays. But long term, we’re excited to expand into full-service catering, bringing our fresh, high-quality approach to even more events.”
Dinx Social Club, an idea from David and Brooke Sloane, is a 23,000-square-foot facility that, in addition to pickleball and golf, offers social areas and a self-pour beverage (beer, wine, cocktails) wall.
