Police Reports: Series of car burglaries in Wilmette and Highland Park

The following reports were pulled from the latest police summaries provided by departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth and Glencoe).

WILMETTE

March 22

• Items reportedly were stolen from an unlocked car in the 2000 block of Highland Avenue.

March 21

• Items reportedly were stolen from an unlocked car in the 2400 block of Pomona Lane.

• Items reportedly were stolen from an unlocked car in the 2200 block of Kenilworth Avenue.

• Items reportedly were stolen from an unlocked car in the 1700 block of Central Avenue.

• Items reportedly were stolen from a store in the 3200 block of Lake Avenue.

March 20

• A wallet reportedly was stolen from a car parking in a lot in the 2600 block of Old Glenview Road. A car window reportedly was shattered to gain entry.

March 17

• An individual was arrested for allegedly stealing items from a business in the 3200 block of Lake Avenue.

WINNETKA

No reported incidents between March 18-24 that meet The Record’s standards for publication.

GLENCOE

HIGHLAND PARK

March 22

• Approximately $1,200 worth of merchandise reportedly was stolen on March 15 from CVS, 1539 Clavey Road.

• Merchandise reportedly was stolen from Target, 2099 Skokie Valley Road.

March 21

• A customer reportedly did not pay for $2,500 in services at Genesis of Highland Park, 2860 Skokie Valley Road.

• Items reportedly were stolen from a home in the 1700 block of Ridgelee Road.

March 20

• Items reportedly were stolen from a car in the 1900 block of Midland Avenue.

March 19

• Cars reportedly were broken into and rummaged through in the 1500 block of Robin Hood Place, 1400 block of Sunnyside Avenue and 1200 block of Ridge Road.

• A purse reportedly was stolen from a car parked at Larry Fink Memorial Park, 1377 Clavey Road. A window reportedly was smashed to gain entry.

March 17

• A window reportedly was broken in a car at Highland Park Ford, 1333 Park Avenue W.

NORTHFIELD

March 20

• A car window reportedly was shattered at Sunset Ridge Country Club, 2100 Sunset Ridge Road.

• More than $20,000 in fraudulent withdrawals reportedly were made to a resident’s bank account.

KENILWORTH

No incidents reported between March 14-21
