
Police Reports: Three burglaries to Northfield restaurants; burglary arrest in Wilmette

WILMETTE
March 15
• An unlocked bicycle reportedly was stolen overnight from in front of a home in the 200 block of Central Park Avenue.
March 14
• An individual was charged with burglaries that took place on Feb. 26 in Wilmette. Wilmette police obtained warrants for the arrestee, who was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
March 13
• A bicycle reportedly was stolen sometime in the last three weeks from an unlocked garage in the 300 block of Central Avenue.
March 11
• Graffiti reportedly was found on train cars in the 300 block of Linden Avenue.
• A purse reportedly was stolen from a restaurant in the 1100 block of Central Avenue.
WINNETKA
March 14
• More than $5,000 in unauthorized transactions reportedly were made via a resident’s Cash App.
March 11
• A fraudulent check reportedly was cashed for $4,290 from a resident’s bank account.
GLENCOE
No reported incidents that meet The Record’s standards for publication.
HIGHLAND PARK
March 16
• Approximately $500 in items reportedly were taken from Ulta Beauty, 135 Skokie Valley Road.
March 13
• Thirty-dollars worth of merchandise reportedly were stolen from Highland Tobacco N Vape, 1821 St. Johns Ave.
March 12
• Approximately $300 worth of items combined reportedly were stolen from Target, 2099 Skokie Valley Road, in two separate incidents.
• More than $1,200 in merchandise reportedly were stolen from Jewel, 1600 Deerfield Road.
March 10
• Approximately $600 worth of cold medicine reportedly was stolen from Walgreens, 655 Elm Place.
NORTHFIELD
March 16
• A group of individuals reportedly fled police when an officer approached them at 3:20 a.m. at Breaking Point Shell gas station, 1855 Willow Road. The individuals abandoned one vehicle, which reportedly was stolen out of Northbrook.
• Jewelry reportedly was stolen sometime in March from a residence in the 1800 block of Old Willow Road.
March 14
• At least three local businesses — Three Tarts Bakery, 301 S. Happ Road; Stormy’s Tavern and Grille, 1735 Orchard Lane; and Taco Nano, 1743 Orchard Lane — reportedly were burglarized overnight in downtown Northfield. According to the report, an employee of Three Tarts encountered and scared off multiple individuals who had forcibly entered a common area adjacent to the shop. Investigators say four individuals and one vehicle were involved in the burglaries, in which entry was gained by shattering windows and doors and more than $600 in cash and multiple cash registers were taken. Northfield police coordinated with multiple neighboring departments in the response and investigation.
KENILWORTH
