Alex Kriser led the Giants with 15 points in their consolation victory on Friday, Dec. 27, in the Jack Tosh Holiday Classic.

The Ramblers opened the Holiday Hoopfest with a victory on Friday, Dec. 27, in Florida.
New Trier 64, St. Charles North 47
Colby Smith scored 17 points and Chris Kirkpatrick 12 with 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the Trevians on Thursday, Dec. 26, in the opening round of the Pontiac Holiday Tournament.
Conant 33, Highland Park 30
Simon Moschin scored 16 points as the Giants fell just short on Thursday, Dec. 26, in the opening round of the Jack Tosh Holiday Classic at York High School.
Saguaro Holiday Classic
Chris Kirkpatrick was named to the All-Tournament team for New Trier, which topped Olympia (Washington) 64-49 on Saturday, Dec. 21, to claim third place at the holiday tournament in Arizona.
The Trevians beat Apollo (Arizona) 67-53 on Dec. 19 to open the tourney before falling to Millard South (Nebraska) on Dec. 20.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
New Trier 53, Naperville Central 25
The Trevians grabbed a victory on Thursday, Dec. 26, to open the 41st Annual Komaromy Classic at Dundee-Crown High School.
Loyola 74, Lincoln-Way West 19
The Ramblers picked up the quarterfinal victory of their host Christmas tournament on Thursday, Dec. 26.
Loyola 78, Oak Park-River Forest 18
Marycait Mackie scored 21 points to lead the Ramblers to a tournament-opening victory on Monday, Dec. 23, in Wilmette.
Waukegan 62, Regina 44
Jillian DeFranza and Judy Fabianski tallied 12 points apiece in the Panthers’ loss on Monday, Dec. 23, on Day 3 of Regina’s Snowflake Shootout.
Leyden 47, Regina 41
Jillian DeFranza scored 14 points and Olivia Fraterrigo 12 for the Panthers on Saturday, Dec. 21, in the Snowflake Shootout in Wilmette.
BOYS WRESTLING
Al Dvorak Memorial Holiday Tournament
Kai Calcutt won the 215-pound bracket on Saturday, Dec. 21, to become just the second wrestler in Loyola Academy history to win a championship at the Dvorak, one of the most competitive tournaments around.
GYMNASTICS
Taylor Kim placed third in the all-around (34.375) to lead New Trier to third place in its 10-team annual holiday invite on Saturday, Dec. 21, in Winnetka.
Clara Crossgrove finished second in the vault (9.275) and Sammy Mills second in the uneven bars (8.825) for the Trevians.
