Police Reports: ‘Threatening’ letter to synagogue, stolen holiday decorations

The following reports were pulled from the latest police summaries provided by departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth and Glencoe).

WILMETTE

Nov. 29

• A wallet reportedly was stolen in the 3100 block of Lake Avenue.

Nov. 28

• Gas reportedly was stolen from a station in the 900 block of Green Bay Road.

Nov. 27

• Locks reportedly were cut on a storage unit in the 3600 block of Lake Avenue.

WINNETKA

Nov. 27

• Approximately $500 in holiday decorations reportedly were taken from a yard in the 600 block of Hill Road.

GLENCOE

Nov. 26

• A “suspicious and threatening” letter reportedly was sent to North Shore Congregation Israel, 1185 Sheridan Road. According to police the letter was similar to other letters received in the area.

Nov. 22

• Approximately $3,000 in clothing reportedly was stolen between Nov. 17-19 from a home in the 800 block of Sheridan Road.

HIGHLAND PARK

NORTHFIELD

Dec. 1

• A motorist reportedly fled the scene of a traffic crash that caused a minor injury at Sunset Ridge Road and Martin Lane.

KENILWORTH

No incidents reported by press time.
