Local schools celebrate the college decisions of more than 80 student-athletes

Nothing shows off the impressive preps athletic talent in the North Shore like signing day.

The 2024-’25 fall signing period was no different with more than 80 local student athletes announcing making official their college commitments.

New Trier, Loyola Academy and Highland Park high schools all honored signees with ceremonies on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

Highlights include commitments from: 16 combined lacrosse players, 11 combined rowers, 10 girls volleyball players, eight Trevians swimmers, five Trevians baseball players and a girls wrestler.

New Trier recognized 54 student-athletes, and Loyola Academy 26. The Giants celebrated the commitment of Audrey Alberts, who will play soccer for Northwestern University starting next year.
