Wheeling 25-25, Regina 21-9

Bridget Conway paced the Panthers with 6 kills and 3 blocks on Thursday, Oct. 3.

Loyola 25-25, Fenwick 11-17

Ava Swanson tallied 6 aces in the Ramblers’ sweep on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Grace Kreutz led the offense with 10 kills and Addie Leadbetter added 6 for Loyola (19-4).

Regina 25-25, Willows Academy 19-16

Jillian DeFranza tallied 4 aces for the Panthers on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

New Trier 25-25, Glenbrook North 17-18

The Trevians (13-1, 5-0) remained unbeaten in the Central Suburban South with the victory on Monday, Sept. 30.

Loyola 25-14-25, Marist 17-25-23

Grace Kreutz racked up 16 kills and 15 digs in the Ramblers’ hard-fought victory on Monday, Sept. 30.

Julia York (16 assists) and Brea Payne (15 assists) guided Loyola’s offense.

Loyola 25-25, St. Laurence 18-20

Grace Kreutz finished with 12 kills and 2 aces for the victorious Ramblers (17-3) on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Kenzie Boylan added 4 kills, while Ava Swanson chipped in 15 digs for visiting Loyola.

Wheaton-Warrenville Classic

Grace Kreutz (13 kills) and Ellen Gundlach (8 kills) led Loyola Academy to a 25-22, 25-23 victory over Metea Valley in the tournament’s third-place match on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Gundlach was named to the All-Tournament team.

BOYS SOCCER
Evanston 1, New Trier 0

The Kits bested the Trevians on Tuesday, Oct. 1, to claim the Central Suburban South championship.

Highland Park 3, Maine East 1

The Giants earned a league victory on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

New Trier 2, Whitefish Bay 0

Cole Driscoll and Ryan Schneider found the net for the Trevs in the road win on Saturday, Sept. 28.

New Trier 4, Maine South 0

Cole Driscoll recorded a goal and an assist in the Trevians’ league victory on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Esteban Iacobelli added a goal, his first varsity tally, for New Trier.

FLAG FOOTBALL
New Trier 26, Highland Park 6

The Trevians earned the conference crossover victory on Tuesday, Oct. 1, and the No. 4 seed in the Lane Tech Sectional in the sport’s inaugural state series. New Trier’s postseason opens with an Oct. 9 matchup at 5 p.m. at Roosevelt High in Chicago.

Highland Park 2, Deerfield 1

The Giants took down their rival on Monday, Sept. 30, in Highland Park.

New Trier 4, Norfolk Academy 3

Lilly Cimaroli scored twice as the Trevians bested a top-10 team in the nation (by Max Field Hockey) on Saturday, Sept. 21, the Max Field Hockey High School Invitational in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.

Ashley Goettsche and Caroline Dellin also scored for the Trevians. Cimaroli and Julia Soriano were selected to the All-Touranment team

BOYS GOLF
Central Suburban South Championships

Liam Kelly fired a 68 to earn medalist honors and help New Trier to a first-place team finish on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Central Suburban North Championships

Cole Rosenbloom (74, 4th), Myles Wexler (76, 6th) and Michael Wisland (78, 8th) all finished in the top 10 for Highland Park (306), which claimed second as a team behind Vernon Hills (292) on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Heritage Oaks Golf Course.

Chicago Catholic League Championships

Drew Southwell finished third overall with a 73, leading Loyola Academy to a league tournament title on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Cog Hill in Lemont.

Ben Rieske, Griffin Huntington and Jack Stamatis all carded 78s to tie for 10th for the Ramblers.

GIRLS GOLF
Central Suburban South Championships

Grace Leber placed third with a round of 72 for New Trier, which took second as a team on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Wilmette Golf Club.

Kendall Humphries-Solis, Molly Tir and Charlotte Giczewski each carded an 80 to tie for seventh for the Trevs.

GIRLS SWIM AND DIVE
New Trier 145, Glenbrook North 41

Riley McNeal won the 500-yard freestyle and Ava Raese the diving competition for the Trevians, who swept the 11 events in the conference matchup on Sept. 27.

Lake County Invitational

Brooke Eliacin won the 50-yard freestyle to help Highland Park to a third-place finish on Saturday, Sept. 28, in Vernon Hills.

CROSS-COUNTRY
Palatine Invitational: Meet of Champions

Walter Garrett finished 22nd to lead New Trier to eighth as a team in the 30-team invite on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Evan Shu (42nd), Cooper Hazday (52nd) and Jonah Swanson (54th) also contributed for the Trevians.

Josie Cahill led New Trier on the girls side with a 14th-place finish as the Trevians placed 10th.

Kayla Ritchie came in 39th and Margaret Canmann 71st for New Trier.

Jane Lynch finished 18th for Loyola Academy.

GIRLS TENNIS
Regina 4, Willows Academy 1

Kourtney Schuenzel and Kyle Hammer each won a match on the singles side for the Panthers on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
