Police Reports: Portable bathroom set afire, online real-estate scam

The following reports were pulled from the latest police summaries provided by departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth and Glencoe).

WILMETTE

Sept. 29

• A lawnmower reportedly was stolen from an alleyway in the 1300 block of Ashland Avenue.

• A bicycle reportedly was stolen from the 800 block of Green Bay Road.

Sept. 27

• A resident reportedly was scammed out of $50 and their personal information after responding to a real-estate ad to view a home.

Sept. 25

• Two drills reportedly were taken from a car in the 3000 block of Highland Avenue. A window reportedly was broken to gain access.

• A bicycle reportedly was stolen from the 700 block of Green Bay Road.

WINNETKA

Sept. 25

• A wallet with cash and credit cards reportedly was stolen on Sept. 13 from a golf cart at Winnetka Golf Club, 1300 Oak St., before the cards were used to make unauthorized purchases totaling $3,614.

GLENCOE

No reported incidents that meet The Record’s standards for publication.

HIGHLAND PARK

Sept. 29

• A portable restroom reportedly was set on fire at West Ridge Park, 636 Ridge Road. No injuries were reported.

Sept. 26

• Apple AirPods reportedly were stolen from Highland Park High School, 433 Vine Ave.

Sept. 24

• Nearly $1,000 in merchandise reportedly was stolen from Target, 2099 Skokie Valley Road.

NORTHFIELD
