Police Reports: Motorcyclist flees police, bicycle theft and more

The following reports were pulled from the latest police summaries provided by departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth and Glencoe).

WILMETTE

Sept. 6

• Two cars were reportedly burglarized in the 600 block of Laurel Avenue.

Sept. 5

• Alcohol reportedly was stolen from a store in the 1500 block of Sheridan Road.

Sept. 4

• Approximately $300 in over-the-counter medication reportedly was stolen from a store in the 800 block of Green Bay Road.

• A bicycle reportedly was stolen from a front yard in the 500 block of Romona Road.

Sept. 3

• A motorcyclist reportedly crashed into a guardrail on Lake Avenue while attempting to evade a traffic stop. The individual was issued numerous citations.

WINNETKA

Sept. 8

• The street sign at Sunset Road and White Oak Lane reportedly was stolen between Sept. 7-8.

GLENCOE

Sept. 2

• A locked bicycle and bike helmet reportedly were stolen from the Metra station, 724 Old Green Bay Road.

HIGHLAND PARK

No reports distributed in the past week.

NORTHFIELD

No reported incidents that meet The Record’s standards for publication.

KENILWORTH

No incidents reported between Aug. 30-Sept. 6.
