BOYS BASKETBALL
New Trier 66, Sagouro (Arizona) 34
Chris Kirkpatrick went for 27 points in the championship victory for the Trevians on Saturday, Dec. 16, in Arizona.
Ian Brown was named the tournament MVP after New Trier went 3-0, and Kirkpatrick and Logan Feller were named to the All-Tournament team.
Loyola 64, Taft 39
Miles Boland scored 19 points with 5 rebounds and 3 steals to lead the Ramblers on Saturday, Dec. 16.
Andrew Hollerich chipped in 12 points and Jimmy Tarjan 11 for Loyola (9-3).
DePaul Prep 40, Loyola 18
Nick Patton scored 5 points and Brendan Loftus grabbed 6 rebounds for the Ramblers on Friday, Dec. 15, in Chicago.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Yorkville 43, New Trier 41
The Trevians dropped the nonconference contest on Saturday, Dec. 16.
Loyola 60, Rockford Auburn 18
The Ramblers (13-0) picked up a win on the road on Saturday, Dec. 16.
Regina 42, Niles West 29
Natalia Cerrado scored 14 points and Jillian DeFranza 13 in the Panthers’ victory on Saturday, Dec. 16, in Skokie.
Olivia Fraterrigo added 5 steals for Regina (8-5).
Glenbrook South 45, New Trier 40
The Trevs fell short of the Titans in a league matchup on Friday, Dec. 15.
GIRLS GYMNASTICS
New Trier Holiday Invite
Taylor Kim (35.85) and Clara Crossgrove (35.675) finished 2-3 in all-around scoring to lead New Trier to a first-place team finish with a score of 142.3 on Saturday, Dec. 16.
Anabel Sturgis won the uneven bars (9.425) and Crossgrove placed second in the floor exercise (9.425) for the Trevians.
