The Trevians topped the Tigers on Tuesday, Aug. 30, in Northfield in the second game of the Northside College Showcase.

Grayslake Central 1, Loyola 0

The Ramblers lost to the Rams in a close battle during the Northside College Showcase on Tuesday, Aug. 30, in Grayslake.

North Shore Country Day 5, Northridge 2

Tae Won Lillig scores twice to guide the Raiders to a conference victory on Tuesday, Aug. 30, in Winnetka.

New Trier 1, Grayslake Central 1

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Evanston 25-25, Regina 15-20

Peyton Bertsch and Delaney Kevin had two kills apiece to lead the Panthers in the nonconference loss Wednesday, Aug. 31, in Evanston.

Grayslake North 25-25, Highland Park 14-16

The Giants dropped the road test on Wednesday, Aug. 31, in Grayslake.

Loyola 25-25, Glenbrook North 15-20

The host Ramblers (6-2) picked up the nonconference victory on Tuesday, Aug. 30, in Wilmette.

DePaul Prep 25-25, Regina 14-16

Haneefa Adams recorded three blocks and Maya Kozik two aces in the Panthers loss Tuesday, Aug. 30, in Wilmette.

Crimson Classic

Ava Bogan was selected to the All-Tournament team for Loyola Academy, which finished 3-2 and in seventh place in the tournament Friday-Saturday, Aug. 26-27.

The Ramblers topped Hononegah and Neuqua Valley to enter the gold bracket before losing three-set matches to Lincoln-Way East and Oak Park-River Forest. Loyola finished the weekend with a 22-25, 27-25, 15-10 victory against Hinsdale Central.

Crossroads 25-25, Regina 10-17

Ella Grillo finished with four digs for the Panthers on Saturday, Aug. 27, in Aurora.

Fenton Tournament

Highland Park finished 2-2 in the invitational, beating Zion-Beaton but losing to Ridgewood on Friday, Aug. 26, and then beating Proviso East in straight sets before falling to host Fenton on Saturday, Aug. 27, in Bensenville.

The Panthers earned the league win on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Rambler Invite

Katie Suk, of Loyola Academy, was the day’s medalist, and New Trier shot a collective 355 to place third at the invite on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest. Stevenson won the tournament.

BOYS GOLF
Rambler Invite

Tyler Greenspahn carded a 69 to win medalist honors for New Trier on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Onwentsia Country Club. Glenbrook North took home the team prize.

Glenbard West Quad

Alex Creamean’s 71 topped the field and helped New Trier to a first-place team finish in the four-team tournament on Saturday, Aug. 27, at Village Links in Glen Ellyn.

Mundelein Quad

Gavin Smith, of Loyola Academy, fired a 71 for co-medalist honors, as the Ramblers placed first at the four-team invite Saturday, Aug. 27, at Shepherd’s Crook in Zion. Ryan Banas and Joey Perraci shot 72s to help Loyola to a 294, five strokes in front of New Trier.

Tyler Greenshahn was low man for the Trevs with a 72, backed up by Peter McNeely’s 74.

GIRLS TENNIS
Regina 2, Evanston 2

Emma Bevenour and Maeve Kostyke and Margaret Clancy and Lexie Tingle picked up doubles victories to gain team points for the Panthers in the nonconference matchup on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

CROSS-COUNTRY
St. Viator Invitational

Nora McCabe (20 minutes, 43 seconds) took second overall and Olivia Mauer (22:10) fourth to pace Regina Dominican to a third-place team finish in the four-team meet on Saturday, Aug. 27.
